Teaching pronunciation means to teach:
– phonemic alphabet
– individual sounds (phonemes)
– stress
– phonetical processes (e.g aspiration) 
– intonation
– accents and dialects

Teaching pronunciation is the process of introducing phonetical units and organising the process to shape the ability to recognise, distinguish and pronounce them. Therefore, recognition//distinguishing and pronunciation are the stages of the teaching process (see below).
